About

Artist Statement

My work focuses on the metropolitan area where more than half of the world resides. I acknowledge within the bounds of my piece the failures and benefits of modernist architecture and the effects architecture has on people.  The use of urban landscape is symbolic of how we attempt to control, rationalize and identify our place within the growing complexity of cities, and to a further extent within society itself.
